Bitten illustration by Hannah Stouffer

We just received samples of the book, "Bitten", which features an image of serpents by Hannah Stouffer on the cover. We worked with Chronicle Books, and they went all out with the printing - you really need to see the book to fully appreciate it. The title is embossed, and there is a spot gloss over the snake scales. They also used a metallic ink on the background, which you can only see when you're looking at the actual book. Love it!

Bob Dob fights carbon in Paris

Last week while in Paris, I met with Vanessa and Julian from TBWA\MAP. Both worked with Bob Dob last year on the big "Carbon Fighters" campaign, and it was so great to go into the agency and finally meet face to face after all of the e-mail correspondence (I'm in San Francisco, Bob's in LA, and they are in Paris...). Plus, it was an added treat to see Bob's illustrations in action! Not only did they give me a set of the Carbon Fighters stickers they produced, but then they pointed out one of the billboards featuring Bob's illustration - very cool.

Next stop: Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival...stay tuned.

Portfolio 2009 book is out!

Our Portfolio 2009 booklet made it back from Blurb.com's printing rooms. The print quality of the 7" X 7" booklet is fantastic -- the sample collection of each artists' work seem to pop right out of the pages!
