Blue Lagoon - a Livia Cives illustrated cocktail

Livia Cives illustrated the latest cocktail recipe for The Art of the Cocktail. Her selection is the Blue Lagoon, a Vodka based summer cocktail everyone can enjoy.

Lucie Rice's Hop, Skip, and Go Naked ...

Lucie Rice recently completed an illustration for The Art of the Cocktail ... Illustrated, an online journal of cocktail <and mocktail> recipes that showcases not only the recipe and a history of the drink, but also one or more illustration(s) by a select artist.

Lucie's selected drink was a vodka-based drink called Hop, Skip, and Go Naked, which we had never heard of before -- we'll let you click on the image to go read more about it and view the two wonderful and 'refreshing' pieces.

A Blue Hawaiian by Bob Dob

Artist Bob Dob said that he has been thinking of doing a painting based on the Blue Hawaiian cocktail ever since spending family vacations in Hawaii where it was his dad's drink of choice. Every time he heard someone order that drink, "a smurf-Hawaiian hybrid" would pop into his head.
Lucky for Bob, he had the opportunity to finally illustrate this in the latest cocktail recipe for The Art of the Cocktail.

Mariya Paskovsky illustrates the Green Fairy

Our Group of Illustrators recently started a long term promotional blog illustrating cocktails and mocktails from around the world. The Green Fairy, illustrated by Mariya Paskovsky, is the second installment in this year-long (or longer!) endeavor.

The Green Fairy is the English translation of La Fee Verte, which was the affectionate French nickname for Absinthe in the late 19th century (and even still to this day).  During that era it was the drink of choice among many well-known artists and writers, such as Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Oscar Wilde, ...
