Dave Stevenson hand lettering & illustration for Diablo's Shadow

Dave Stevenson was commissioned by Cult Partners to do the hand lettering and background map illustration for this rum and vodka packaging.  The Bay Area-based Sutherland Distilling Company produces Diablo's Shadow vodka and rum, and Dave's work graces the bottles for both.  Dave's hand lettering and artwork is also featured on the Diablo's Shadow shipping boxes.

Dave Stevenson hand lettering for Robb Report

Dave Stevenson was commissioned by Robb Report magazine to do some hand lettering for their annual Best of the Best issue.  Dave's pen and ink technique gives such a nice organic look to the opener of each section of the issue - a few of which are below.

Dave Stevenson illustrates book cover for Allman Brothers bio

Dave Stevenson was commissioned by St. Martin's Press to do the hand lettered typography and illustration for the Allman Brothers Band biography, titled One Way Out.  Dave's work is foil stamped on the cover, and the art director Rob Grom sent us a photo of the actual book to show the effects.  We think it turned out great!

Dave Stevenson The Village Voice Brooklyn Pour

Dave Stevenson was commissioned by The Village Voice to create the artwork for their 3rd annual Brooklyn Pour.  This is a curated craft beer tasting event that takes place in October, and features "100+ craft brews from New York and beyond".

Dave did the illustration and hand lettering, and I love the use of his work on the woodsy background of the website - very cool!

Dave Stevenson hand lettering for Raff Distillerie

Dave Stevenson did all of the hand lettering, banners, border treatment, and embellishments (basically everything except the illustration of the dogs) on the label for the new Bummer & Lazarus gin.  Dave worked with Auston Design Group on this packaging project for the San Francisco based Raff Distillerie, which chose to name its gin after a couple of dogs who are a piece of San Francisco history - great story!

Dave Stevenson - Bon Appétit Seal of Approval

Dave Stevenson was asked by Bon Appétit magazine to create these illustrations and hand lettering for their Bon Appétit Seal of Approval.  This is the first introduction of the Seal of Approval, and it is a list of 50 products that have been tested and approved by the BA staff as excellent ingredients that "will upgrade every aspect of your culinary life, guaranteed".  So, let's get cooking!!

Calef Brown - Bushman Lives!

Calef Brown illustrated the cover art, including hand lettering, for Daniel Pinkwater's new novel, Bushman Lives!  The book is a "fantastic adventure filled with wild humor and vivid characters", and it's due out this fall.  And here's a sneak preview!
